Philosophy

My philosophy has always been, minor changes makes major shifts in healthy hair goals. What I mean by that is, my regimens, product recommendations, services, and maintenance, are all custom curated for each client.

Why? Because each client has different needs and everyone shouldn’t be treated the same or serviced the same. What works for one client’s schedule and willingness, doesn’t necessarily translate to the next.

That’s why I educte you about your hair and make product/service recommendations based on your specific needs and goals.

You can feel confident knowing that every visit is curated for where you are in life (because life and lifestyle is ever changing) and how your hair can adjust for your best interests and goals.

My Story

Hey my beauties, I’m Rachel! I was born and raised in Chicago IL by Jamaican immigrant parents. I moved to Atlanta GA to attend Clark Atlanta University. There, I was encouraged by a professor and counselor to persue my entrepreneurial desire to become a professional hair stylist. I dropped out of college to persue my dream. I attended Empire Beauty School, which at the time was one of only a handful of cosmetology institutions in the metro Atlanta area.

While in school I immediately began to work in a salon. Hair Atlanta of Buckhead taught me the nuances of hair science, product knowledge, continued education and the business of beauty. In 2006 I ventured out on my own to create the beauty business I wanted.

Being on my own for 15+ years now, I’ve had the honor of being featured in Rolling Out magazine, The Atlantan, and Voyage ATL. I’ve worked on photoshoots, an independent film, reality show episodes, music video sets, special effects makeup projects, education classes, celebrities and dignitaries.

On this beautiful journey, I’ve held my faith close to me at all times. I encourage, support and cheer on every client so they know someone cares, and I truly believe every woman’s beauty and presence should be celebrated!
